RepoRanker

User-generated content & conduct

Two kinds of content on RepoRanker come from users: public repository listings and written reviews. This page is what is allowed in each, and what gets removed. Removals are decided on the rules written here.

Reviews

A review should describe the project honestly: what it does, how well it does it, who it is for, and where it could improve. Criticism is welcome and stays up, as long as it is grounded in the actual repository.

The following are removable:

  • Spam, marketing copy, or links that do not belong in a review.
  • Harassment, or personal attacks on a maintainer rather than the work.
  • Off-topic content unrelated to the repository being reviewed.
  • Demonstrably false claims about a project.
  • Templated or machine-generated text reused across repositories.

Repeated abuse can restrict an account. Disagreeing with a review is not grounds for removing it.

Listings

Submit only repositories you own or are allowed to promote. Forks and duplicates may be de-emphasized or removed if they mislead people about who maintains a project.

Report

To report a review or a listing, email abuse@reporanker.com with the link, your GitHub handle, and a short description of the problem. General product help lives on the help page.
