About RepoRanker
RepoRanker is a public leaderboard and community for open-source GitHub repositories. Maintainers add their repos with a short tagline, developers leave substantive reviews, and a credit system rewards people who review others. Visibility boosts (leaderboard, featured) are purchased with those credits.
What we are not
RepoRanker is not a replacement for GitHub search and not affiliated with GitHub, Inc. It is a niche discovery surface focused on peer review and social proof, similar in spirit to launch communities, but for repos.
Built by Jay Campbell

Jay Campbell is a developer and founder who launched RepoRanker in April 2025. He built it because the vibe-coding wave has produced thousands of new builders shipping in public, and there was nowhere to get substantive peer feedback on the actual work. GitHub is public but passive. Launch communities reward the moment, not the repo. RepoRanker was built to give early-stage builders a place where real critiques are earned, not gamed: reviewing another project earns you credits, which means the feedback is genuine and the community has skin in the game.
