About RepoRanker

RepoRanker is a public board of open-source GitHub repositories where the positions are for sale. Founded in April 2025 by Jay Campbell, it gives maintainers a way to put a repo in front of developers at a price they can read before they pay.

There is one board and one way up it. Placement starts at $3, rank is total dollars spent and nothing else, and every row prints the amount that bought it. Payments accumulate, so moving up costs only the difference. Nothing expires and nothing renews: when someone spends more, the repo they passed moves down rather than off. The full ladder, including what each position cost, is public at reporanker.com/placements.

Listing is free and open to any public GitHub repository. The platform is available at reporanker.com.

Founder quote

“Getting a repo seen is normally a black box. You post it, you wait, and nobody will tell you what it would have cost to skip the queue. RepoRanker puts the number on the row. Three dollars puts you on the board, and you keep the spot until somebody wants it more than you do.”
